Music Program

Music gives students lifelong skills such as attention to detail, self confidence, teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Band
Band is available as an elective for 5th through 8th grades under the direction of Mr. Mike Peterson. A band lesson fee is charged by the school and students are required to have their own instruments and equipment. Instruction is available for flutes, clarinets, saxophones, trumpets, trombones and percussion.

Music Classes
Music Classes are part of the school curriculum for all grades. Under the direction of Mrs. Beth Crowder, age-appropriate instruction includes music performance, appreciation and composition. An all-school Christmas Concert is held near the holidays and there are opportunities to participate in a spring musical. Mrs. Crowder is also available for private singing lessons.
